Conference Postponed to March 2023
The Adopt-A-Programmer Summit seeks to promote awareness that a lack of resources is the primary barrier preventing coders in underserved communities from reaching their fullest potential when compared with their counterparts in developed regions.
We are twin US-based entities operating as a 501[c][3] organization in Maryland and a Limited Liability Company in Virginia with a vision to create an information exchange that fosters travel and knowledge in education technology among Coders (across STEAM* disciplines).
To this end, we are partnering with organizations, companies, entities to host a mix of workshops, entertainment, panels, keynotes, tours, and other events.
Since June 2014, the leadership of Coders Who Travel has been executing Hack-A-Thons, Career Workshops, Programming Demos, Networking, Panel Discussions for organizations such as Women Who Code-Accra (first network in West Africa affiliated with Women Who Code), w.Coders Weekend Series, market research studies via Focus Group Discussions, Expert Interviews, How To Interview, offering 30-minutes phone screens feedback and partnering with venue hosts like Deloitte McLean, Ghana Embassy DC, CapitalOne Bank (talks underway) and Metro Stage. Visit our Gallery.
Powering all these activities is a great network of classmates, coworkers, friends and acquaintances who will be the speakers, trainers, mentors, attendees and sponsors of our flagship conference.
